Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain a multi-platform data protection stack, including DLP and DSPM components. You will work with on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) and contribute to policy, testing, and incident remediation.

The role requires hands-on engineering, strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python, and collaboration with senior engineers to advance security posture and compliance practices.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years with at least two programming languages (Python/Java/JS/BASH/PowerShell).
• 3 years designing architectures across AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in information security or related field; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms.
• Deploy and configure DLP and DSPM solutions; tune detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on design and deployment tasks.
• Develop documentation and participate in projects; support testing and rollout.
• Script (PowerShell/Python) to automate deployment and maintenance.
