Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, including DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, troubleshoot incidents, and contribute to policy development while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, and related standards. Advanced cloud certifications and strong scripting skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• 5+ years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5+ years of deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5+ years of creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3+ years with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell).
• 3+ years designing and providing architectural support to cloud services (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-53/83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL 3Bachelor's.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Configure and manage DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis to remediate issues.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection policies and controls.
• Develop automation with PowerShell/Python to improve deployment and maintenance tasks.
