Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Data Protection Engineer for a 100% remote contract. You will lead a 5x9 data protection environment using Protegrity technologies, drive automation with Ansible, and implement Terraform-based AWS serverless deployments.

You will also maintain security policies and integrate with Snowflake and Teradata. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in cryptography, and 3+ years in cyber security engineering, plus hands-on Linux/SELinux experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Cryptography experience of at least 2 years.
3+ years in Cyber Security Engineering.
2+ years in Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
2+ years Unix/Linux administration.
2+ years SELinux experience.
2+ years with Protegrity Data Protection solutions.
2+ years DevOps using Ansible.

Responsibilities

Lead Data Protection Engineer for a 5x9 mission-critical environment.
Deliver solutions with Ansible-Automation Framework for Protegrity Agent life-cycle management.
Use Terraform-Enterprise for AWS serverless deployments and integrations.
Utilize Protegrity Fuse File Encryption for at-rest protection.
Maintain Data Protection Policies and monitor security postures.
Integrate with data platforms like Snowflake and Teradata.
