Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Sr Cloud Architect to design and deploy secure cloud solutions in Arlington, VA, with partial remote work. You will lead cloud migrations, implement zero-trust security, and manage IaC automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

The role requires 9+ years in cloud engineering (AWS/Azure), government cloud experience, and strong CI/CD knowledge. Collaboration with DevOps and software teams is essential for scalable, secure platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years in cloud engineering, including hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Experience supporting government cloud environments is required.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Practical experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong familiarity with cloud security policies and tools, including encryption and IAM.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud-based solutions tailored to vital mission needs.
• Spearhead cloud migration strategies and ensure cost-efficient cloud management.
• Implement robust zero-trust security models, encryption, and identity access controls.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate provisioning and manage configurations.
• Partner with software engineers and DevOps teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Build and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift.
