Responsibilities include assessing risks, designing encryption schemes, maturing cryptography governance, and delivering secure deployments with Protegrity and cloud-native technologies.

Title: Cyber Security Engineer

Duration: 24+ months

Location: Onsite in Plano, TX or McLean, VA preferred but may work remotely

What you'll do:

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects as part of a team of developers with deep experience in cryptography, distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code
• Collaborate with Cyber product managers and architecture to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions that deliver security features to help millions of Americans protect their financial services.
• Assess security risks, especially for data confidentiality and integrity, by identifying vulnerabilities and understanding crypto cyber threat impacts
• Develop robust cryptographic solutions-designing and implementing encryption, hashing, and digital signature algorithms to protect sensitive data. This involves selecting appropriate primitives, managing keys securely, and integrating solutions into enterprise offerings
• Mature and enhance governance framework for cryptography across the enterprise. This involves clear policies, standards, and guidelines for internal and external teams, ensuring consistency, compliance, and auditability
• Be the lead and SME for a 5x9 mission critical environment focused on Data Protection with Protegrity's Data Encryption and Tokenization solution.
• Deliver solutions with Ansible-Automation Framework to support a large RHEL Server Space for Protegrity's Agent Software (life-cycle-management)
• Use Terraform-Enterprise for AWS Serverless deployments and integrations with Protegrity Cloud Protector.
• Use Protegrity's Fuse File Encryption technologies to provide at-rest encryption.
• Maintain, enhance, support Protegrity Data Protection Policies.
• Help the team manage integrations with various data management platforms e.g. snowflake and teradata.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 2 years of Cryptography experience related
• At least 3 years of experience in Cyber Security Engineering
• At least 2 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience
• At least 2 year of SELinux experience
• At least 2 years of experience with Protegrity Data Protection solutions.
• At least 2 years of devops experience using ansible automation platform.
• At least 2 years of experience using terraform for enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Cyber Security Engineering experience
• 3+ experience with coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl or Ruby)
• 4+ years of experience with Protegrity Data Protection platform.
• 2+ years of experience with linux file system concepts Fuse, GPFS, NFS.
• 2+ years of experience with linux storage subsystems, clustering, high availability, fault tolerance, replication concepts.
• 3+ years of experience with devops principals, agile development practices.
