Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement, maintain, and support data protection infrastructure across multiple environments. The role emphasizes experience with DLP, DSPM, and policy management, plus scripting skills to automate deployment and monitoring.

Ideal candidates will have strong InfoSec background, hands-on cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure), and familiarity with HITRUST/NIST/ISO frameworks. Office-based or remote work options available.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell)
• 3 years of experience designing and providing architectural support for two cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms, configuring DLP/DSPM and data de-identification
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-prem and cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Configure data protection policies, sensitive info types, and tune detection parameters
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root-cause analysis
• Assist with testing, implementation, and documentation of data protection projects
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance
• Collaborate to expand team knowledge in data protection technologies
• Stay current with data protection tech, best practices, and compliance requirements
