Job summary

enGen seeks a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain its data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. You will work with Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis, developing automation scripts and policies while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and other standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data loss prevention, information security, and cloud architecture across GCP/AWS/Azure, with strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell)
• 3 years of experience designing and providing architectural support to two cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies and tuning parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python).
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
