enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the data protection team. You will implement and maintain the data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring high security and performance.

You will work with tools like Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis, develop automation scripts, and collaborate with senior engineers to improve policies and procedures while staying current with industry standards and compliance requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field.
• Substitutions: 5 years of Information Security, Governance, Risk and/or Compliance, Information Technology or Business Analysis with at least 3 years of hands-on Engineering principles.
• Master’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and maintain components of the organization's data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, including sensitive information types and tuning detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root cause analysis.
• Contribute to data protection projects with testing, implementation, and documentation; participate in project meetings.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance of data protection software.
• Stay current with data protection technologies, industry best practices, and evolving compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
