Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the team responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and operation of the data protection stack. The role requires hands-on experience with DLP/DSPM tools, cloud security, and policy configuration across on‑prem and cloud environments.

The engineer will collaborate with senior staff to design secure data protection solutions, troubleshoot incidents, and contribute to engineering policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Configure and maintain data protection policies and tuning parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
