Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team. You will implement and maintain DLP/DSPM solutions, work across on‑prem and cloud environments, and develop automation scripts.

The role requires deep knowledge of DLP tools and strong collaboration with senior engineers to improve security posture. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data protection, information security, and policy management, with experience across cloud providers and programming languages.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years creating and managing DLP policies.
• Experience with two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell).
• 3 years designing cloud architecture across Google Cloud, AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design/implementation of data protection solutions across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms; manage sensitive information types and detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents; perform root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) for deployment and maintenance.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
