Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a Data Protection Engineer to implement, maintain, and support data protection infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments, including DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions. You will work with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis while using PowerShell and Python to automate tasks.

You will design and tune policies, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with senior engineers on complex projects, ensuring alignment with HIPAA, NIST, and ISO controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Loss Prevention and information security.
• Experience deploying and maintaining DLP infrastructure.
• Implement and tune data protection policies across platforms.
• Experience across on‑prem and cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Collaboration with engineers and project teams.
• Scripting in PowerShell or Python to automate tasks.
• Strong teamwork and knowledge of HIPAA/NIST/ISO controls.
• Bachelor or higher in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
