You will evaluate AWS data strategies, design scalable storage and query architectures, and drive migration from MSSQL XML to AWS. Strong SQL, AWS processing, and collaboration with backend teams are essential.

Qualifications

8+ years’ experience in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus.
Proven experience architecting and migrating cloud data platforms in healthcare or enterprise.
Experience selecting AWS data services to meet reporting needs.
Ability to deliver analytics for non-technical business users.

Responsibilities

Lead the healthcare data platform modernization initiatives.
Evolve MSSQL XML object store toward a scalable AWS data architecture for SQL reports.
Evaluate AWS data strategies and select optimal storage and query options.
Design a reporting layer enabling SQL queries with familiar tooling.
Migrate XML object store data to AWS, define formats and partitioning.
Maintain AWS data catalog, schemas, and metadata for discoverability.
Optimize performance and cost across AWS services.
Translate business reporting needs into durable data models and patterns.
Collaborate with .NET engineers to ensure data flow from EDI pipelines.
Implement CI/CD for data infrastructure using AWS tooling.
Apply IaC using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
Document architecture decisions and data flows clearly.
