Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a fully remote Data Engineer with strong SQL and Python experience to join our Data Engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and platform infrastructure powering a new internal self-service application, enabling teams across the company to own and manage their data with speed and reliability.

You will work with senior engineers, enjoy autonomy on well-defined tasks, and have access to AI tools to boost speed and quality.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional data engineering or software development experience.
• Strong SQL proficiency with complex queries on large datasets.
• Experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
• Proficiency with Git-based version control and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes with Python.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for ingestion, transformation, and validation.
• Contribute to Snowflake data modeling and data warehouse integrity.
• Integrate with Kafka for real-time data ingestion.
• Write unit and integration tests for pipeline components.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions).
• Implement observability and respond to production alerts on call rotation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and embrace AI tools to speed up development.
