Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a fully remote Data Engineer with strong SQL and Python to join our Data Engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines powering a self-service data platform across the company.

You will work with senior engineers, gain exposure to Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, and Databricks, and contribute to CI/CD practices with GitHub Actions. This role emphasizes reliability, testing, and data quality on a high-visibility initiative.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional data engineering or software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries against large datasets.
• Experience with at least one cloud data warehouse or data platform (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Databricks).
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and GitHub Actions workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Python to enhance reliability and observability.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support ingestion, transformation, and validation across the data warehouse.
• Contribute to data modeling and maintain data integrity within Snowflake.
• Integrate with Kafka-driven streams for real-time ingestion under guidance of senior engineers.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and CI/CD workflows.
