Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a fully remote Data Engineer with strong SQL and Python experience to join our Data Engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and platform infrastructure powering a self-service data platform across the company.

Working with senior engineers, you will ensure reliable ingestion, transformation, and accessibility of data for application teams, with an emphasis on quality, testing, and observability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional data engineering or software development experience.
• Strong, demonstrated proficiency in SQL including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.
• Experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, or Databricks).
• Proficiency with Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes in Python.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support ingestion, transformation, and validation.
• Contribute to data modeling and maintain data integrity within Snowflake.
• Integrate with Kafka-driven streams for real-time data ingestion.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to CI/CD and monitor pipelines post-deployment.
