Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a fully remote Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and platform infrastructure powering a self-service data application. You will collaborate with senior engineers, emphasize reliability, and leverage AI tools to improve code quality.

This role supports ingestion, transformation, and serving data for application teams across the company, enabling faster data access and stronger data governance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional data engineering or software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL—writing, optimizing, troubleshooting large-scale queries.
• Experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift/Azure Synapse).
• Proficiency with Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes in Python.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
• Contribute to data modeling on Snowflake data platform.
• Integrate with Kafka-driven streams for real-time data ingestion.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure test coverage.
