Job summary

nVent is seeking a key technical lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to turn real-world challenges into practical data center solutions. We're looking for technically minded problem-solvers who enjoy being in the field, understanding how systems fit together, and using that insight to deliver meaningful solutions to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a data center power background, remote-work capability, and strong communication skills to support strategic accounts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering or equivalent work experience in the Data Center power industry.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical application's role supporting Data Center power solutions.
• Ability to work 100% remotely and travel 30-50% across US/Canada; valid driver’s license required.
• Live in the western US preferred, but flexible to other US regions for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for nVent Smart Power Solutions across multiple functions.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues.
• Evaluate RFIs/RFQs and provide technical application assistance for pre- and post-sales.
• Lead strategic accounts from a support perspective and conduct technical training as needed.
• Review training literature for technical accuracy and represent nVent at industry events.
