Job summary

GCG is expanding a specialized Inside Sales team focused on data center customers and partners. The Inside Sales Account Manager will build lasting relationships with key decision makers and suppliers, driving revenue and coordinating drop-ship orders while supporting growth in a remote-friendly environment with a preference for Central Time Zone candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in business/engineering/related field.
• 5 years of B2B inside sales experience, preferably in data center space.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced, sales-focused environment.
• Customer service orientation with ability to pursue new business opportunities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel).
• Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM and Oracle or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop familiarity with GCG Data Center solutions to educate customers about products, pricing, and availability.
• Support strategic growth plans and help achieve annual sales goals.
• Nurture relationships with customers and suppliers to increase revenue as offerings expand.
• Manage drop-ship orders and provide regular status updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Research and prospect for new business opportunities using a consultative sales approach.
• Create and execute plans to achieve year-over-year revenue growth.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing as the book of business grows.
• Conduct the full sales process including cold calling, handling objections, closing, and follow-up.
