Modine in Abilene, TX is seeking a Data Center Service Project Manager to lead HVAC service, installation and commissioning in mission-critical data centers. You will supervise field technicians, subcontractors, and vendors from handover through commissioning and warranty.

The role emphasizes safety, schedule, cost, quality, and customer liaison; travel to sites is required, with regular updates to customers and internal teams. Remote work is supported where feasible.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in PM or site coordination in HVAC or data centers
• Experience with data center commissioning activities (L2 to IST) preferred
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams and manage customer relationships
• PMI-PMP or equivalent PM experience considered in lieu of certification
• Proficient with project management tools and reading mechanical drawings

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of data center HVAC projects from handover to warranty transition
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Attend project kickoff and site meetings; communicate priorities to customers
• Coordinate site mobilization, subcontractor activities, material availability, and work sequencing
• Monitor progress, labor utilization, costs, forecasts and financial performance
• Identify and manage schedule, cost, safety, quality, and resource risks
• Oversee site readiness and project setup for safe execution
• Lead project quality reviews, documentation, and closeout
• Maintain relationships with owners, GC, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Regular travel to customer data center sites to oversee execution and address needs
• Serve as primary contact for customers and commissioning agents
• Provide timely updates on schedules, milestones, risks, and decisions
• Build relationships through clear communication and accountability
