Daikin Applied Americas Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Manager II to plan, direct, and coordinate designated data centre projects—covering complex HVAC, mechanical, and controls construction for mission‑critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent combinations considered.
• 5+ years progressive project management in commercial/industrial HVAC/mechanical construction.
• 2+ years dedicated data centre construction and/or commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs all phases of data centre projects, from planning through warranty and transition to service team.
• Leads pre‑commissioning, start‑up, IST, and Level5 commissioning for critical cooling equipment.
• Plans and analyzes HVAC/mechanical construction projects, establishing schedules and budgets; manages contracts with general contractors and subcontractors.
• Reviews scope, drawings, and specs to determine time frame, funding, staffing and resource allocation.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and safety; enforces OSHA on energized equipment, at height, confined spaces.
• Prepares proposals detailing scope and milestones; delivers progress reports to management and clients.
