Job summary

Optiv + ClearShark is seeking a Darktrace Cybersecurity Engineer to design, deploy, configure, and operate Darktrace Cyber AI capabilities across enterprise networks, endpoints, email, cloud, SaaS, identity, and other environments.

You will translate detections and AI-assisted investigations into actionable security outcomes while working with SOC, network, cloud, and identity teams in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required at time of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related discipline; equivalent combination may be considered.
• At least 5 years of relevant cybersecurity engineering, security operations, network security, threat detection, incident response, or security-platform administration experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying, configuring, tuning, administering, and troubleshooting Darktrace or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Darktrace platform components across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Tune detections, thresholds, and investigations to align with threat model and security ops processes.
• Lead or support implementation of Darktrace capabilities across networks, endpoints, cloud, SaaS, and identity security use cases.
• Perform platform health checks, capacity planning, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze telemetry to identify malicious activity and tuning opportunities.
• Collaborate with SOC, threat hunters, network/cloud teams to investigate and contain security events.
• Develop and maintain use cases for threat detection, triage, and escalation across enterprise domains.
• Configure and maintain integrations between Darktrace and SIEM/SOAR/EDR/EPP and other platforms.
• Use APIs, syslog, webhooks and scripting to exchange events and automate workflows.
