Job summary

Optiv is seeking a Cybersecurity Advisor that will serve as a trusted partner to strategic clients. You will design security solutions aligned with client initiatives and work with a dedicated sales team to deliver defensible security programs.

The role blends sales acumen with hands-on security expertise across client environments. The position requires at least five years in information security, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years in an information security role.
• Strong business and technical acumen for security discussions.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication with clients.
• Ability to review statements of work, quotes, and deliverables with attention to detail.
• Broad security knowledge and willingness to expand expertise across the portfolio.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, C-CISO, etc.
• Ability to work in-person and remotely with distributed teams.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Drive the generation of services and technologies to meet quota in partnership with account and domain teams.
• Understand the client's security environment, business operations, security needs, and risk appetite.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and qualify leads for closure.
• Articulate how Optiv's portfolio meets client needs at leadership level.
• Stay current on industry trends to provide thought leadership and guidance.
• Collaborate with service delivery to support a consistent security approach.
• Develop security roadmaps aligned to business goals, budget, and ROI.
• Maintain advisory relationships with key stakeholders and Optiv partners.
