Per Scholas seeks a Cybersecurity Instructor to deliver hands-on, lab‑first cybersecurity training and to guide learners toward industry certifications such as Security+ and CISSP. The role emphasizes coaching, timely feedback, and inclusive learning environments for adult students.

The instructor will manage project work, mentor capstones, and ensure curricula stay current with evolving threats, cloud security, and incident response best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field; 3+ years of cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, Security+ or equivalent are desirable.
• Experience teaching adult learners and hands-on cybersecurity labs.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into practical learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals and advanced topics.
• Prepare learners for industry certifications (e.g., Security+ and CISSP).
• Monitor learner progress and provide actionable feedback and coaching.
• Mentor students on projects from scoping to employer-ready demonstrations.
• Inform curriculum and labs with current threats and best practices.
