Per Scholas in the United States seeks a Cybersecurity Instructor who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for teaching. You will deliver rigorous, hands-on instruction in cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking while supporting an inclusive, high-accountability learning environment.

You will monitor learner progress, prepare for certifications (Security+ and CISSP), and mentor projects, ensuring graduates are ready for industry roles

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional cybersecurity expertise across fundamentals, security operations, and endpoint security.
• Strong knowledge of CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 domains and CISSP exam prep readiness.
• Ability to teach ethical hacking, reconnaissance, scanning, vulnerability identification, and exploitation.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity topics and ethical hacking using current tools and environments.
• Prepare learners for Security+ or CISSP certifications and relate concepts to real-world practice.
• Manage learner progress, provide feedback, and coach to completion, certification readiness, and graduation.
• Mentor cybersecurity projects from scoping to employer-ready demonstrations.
• Inform curriculum labs, rubrics, and assessments with current threats and best practices.
• Collaborate with staff to improve labs and learner outcomes in a remote setting.
