Per Scholas seeks a Cybersecurity Instructor who blends deep technical skill with a passion for teaching. You will lead hands-on instruction in fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking while fostering an inclusive, high‑accountability learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching adults in technical subjects.
• Preparation for industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ and CISSP.
• Hands-on proficiency with cybersecurity labs and tools.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking.
• Prepare learners for CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications.
• Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback and coaching.
• Mentor capstones from scoping to employer-ready demonstrations.
• Inform curriculum and labs with current threats and best practices.
• Demonstrate expertise across identity, access, and incident response.
• Teach ethical hacking concepts including reconnaissance, scanning, and exploitation.
• Teach endpoint security including protection, hardening, and remediation.
