Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking a Cybersecurity Instructor to deliver rigorous, hands-on instruction in cybersecurity fundamentals, operations, and ethical hacking. You will prepare learners for industry certifications and supervise progress in a remote learning environment.

The role emphasizes teaching adult learners, guiding capstones, and staying current with security threats and tools while partnering with staff to improve labs and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven cybersecurity expertise across fundamentals, operations, endpoint security and ethical hacking.
• Ability to prepare learners for CompTIA/ CISSP level certifications.
• Experience teaching adults and mentoring project work.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity topics and labs.
• Prepare learners for industry certifications and real-world practice.
• Monitor progress, give feedback, and offer office hours for coaching.
• Mentor student projects from threat analysis to demonstrations.
• Inform curriculum and labs with current threats and practices.
• Collaborate to improve labs, rubrics, and learner outcomes.
