Job summary

Per Scholas seeks a Cybersecurity Instructor to deliver rigorous, hands-on instruction in cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, and ethical hacking. You will prepare learners for industry certifications and guide them through practical labs and capstones.

The role requires teaching experience, lab management, and current cybersecurity proficiency across cloud security, identity, and incident response. Remote-friendly environment with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years teaching or training in technical subjects.
• Experience with cybersecurity labs and cloud security.
• Ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into practical learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab-first instruction across cybersecurity fundamentals, security operations, endpoint security, and ethical hacking.
• Prepare learners for industry-recognised certifications, including Security+ and CISSP.
• Manage learner progress and provide timely feedback to ensure completion and graduation.
• Mentor cybersecurity projects from scoping to employer-ready demonstrations.
• Inform curriculum and labs to align with current threats and industry practices.
• Demonstrate expertise across core cybersecurity domains and incident response.
• Teach ethical hacking concepts, including reconnaissance, scanning, and exploitation.
• Teach endpoint security, including hardening, monitoring, and remediation.
• Work with tools and labs such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, scanners, and firewalls.
• Show knowledge of cloud security and a major cloud platform.
