Job summary

MediaNews Group is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our systems and data, monitor threats, and respond rapidly to security events. You will work with IT operations and development teams to implement preventative measures and document incidents.

Responsibilities include threat analysis, vulnerability management, and maintaining security metrics in line with industry standards. Remote role requiring residence in eligible states within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a IT security related field.
• 1–3 years in cybersecurity, desktop support, networking, or sysadmin.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
• Monitor security access and conduct threat analysis.
• Serve as primary security incident responder and document events.
