Job summary

MediaNews Group is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect its systems, networks, and data. You will monitor security access, analyze threats, manage incidents, and ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets across the organization.

You will work with IT operations and development teams to implement preventative measures, conduct regular vulnerability assessments, and document security events. Remote-friendly position for candidates in FL and other states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT security with relevant certifications.
• 1–3 years of cybersecurity experience or related desktop support, networking, or sysadmin roles.
• Knowledge of security incident response and vulnerability management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect organization's systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
• Monitor security access, conduct threat analysis, and manage incidents.
• Respond rapidly to security events and document breaches thoroughly.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and track remediation efforts.
• Develop risk metrics and maintain security technology configurations.
