MediaNews Group is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect systems and data from evolving threats. The role involves monitoring access, threat analysis, incident management, and regular vulnerability assessments, working with IT operations and development teams to implement preventative measures.

You will perform rapid triage, containment, and documentation of security events, develop risk metrics, and maintain security technologies while staying compliant with industry standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS or related field, or Associate’s degree specialized in IT Security or equivalent experience and relevant certifications
• 1 to 3 years of cybersecurity experience, or relevant desktop support, networking or system administration

Responsabilidades

• Protect organization systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
• Monitor security access, conduct threat analysis, manage security incidents.
• Triage, contain, eradicate, and document security events and breaches.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and prioritize remediation.
• Develop risk and threat metrics and provide investigation reports.
• Maintain core security technologies and ensure optimal configuration.
• Generate security metrics and reports on security posture.
• Assist in user education and security training.
• Leverage LLM technologies to aid daily analysis.
• Understand network protocols and security architecture.
• Work with SIEM tools for log aggregation and analysis.
• Deploy, configure, and monitor EDR systems.
• Familiar with Windows, Linux, macOS and cloud security best practices.
• Communicate complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders
