Job summary

Leidos is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert to join the DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) PMO team in the Reston area. The role focuses on senior-level cybersecurity architecture, cloud and enterprise infrastructure security, and collaboration with government stakeholders to strengthen security posture and resilience across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or PhD with 13+ years in government cybersecurity.
• 5+ years direct experience supporting government customers, including DHS programs.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud services to build and maintain environments.
• DoD 8570/8140-certified candidates preferred; active clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review system designs, configurations, and architectures for cybersecurity alignment.
• Assess requirements and identify security risks and mitigations.
• Develop practical recommendations to support mission objectives.
• Collaborate with senior architects and government stakeholders.
• Provide technical analysis for deployment and integration of cybersecurity tools.
• Draft technical documentation, reports and presentations for customers.
