Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer SME in McLean, VA to protect customer information systems and lead security controls across DevSecOps lifecycles. You will partner with ISSE/ISSM, software developers, and government stakeholders to implement and maintain compliant security measures across enterprise systems.

The role requires strong experience with SIEM/EDR tools, network security technologies, and vulnerability management, with a focus on mission-critical national security programs.

Qualifications

• U.S. government security clearance and advanced cybersecurity background preferred.
• Experience with SIEM and endpoint/network security tools.
• Experience with RMF/ATO processes and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Protect information systems, networks, and infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for mission systems.
• Collaborate with ISSEs, ISSMs, developers, and government stakeholders across the DevSecOps lifecycle.
• Investigate and remediate cybersecurity incidents; support risk management and POA&M processes.
• Audit configurations for compliance with cybersecurity policies and baselines.
• Support secure DevSecOps pipelines and threat monitoring initiatives.
