Job summary

The Underwriting Territory Manager role at Great American Insurance Group's Cyber Risk Division is remote with substantial East Coast travel. You will lead a small team of underwriters, develop distribution partnerships, and expand the cyber portfolio while maintaining underwriting discipline and profitability.

You will leverage broker relationships, evaluate complex cyber accounts, and contribute to growth strategies for a rapidly expanding line of business across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in insurance, risk management, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cyber underwriting experience; expertise in specialty P&C is a plus.
• 2-4+ years of leadership experience with coaching and managing a team.
• Strong underwriting expertise with complex cyber risks and large accounts.
• Established broker relationships and ability to generate opportunities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable new business production and territory expansion on East Coast.
• Lead and develop an underwriting team for high performance.
• Underwrite complex Cyber Risk accounts and provide guidance.
• Execute strategies for growth, portfolio diversification, and market expansion.
• Build relationships with retail and wholesale brokers to win new business.
• Monitor portfolio performance and regulatory requirements.
• Represent division at events, meetings, and client engagements.
• Manage territory results and operating expenses.
