Job summary

ADT is seeking a customer-focused Technical Support agent to handle residential and small business inquiries. You will guide customers through troubleshooting steps, educate on solutions, and coordinate scheduling of onsite visits when needed.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. This is a remote role with paid training and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills are required for effective customer interactions.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute to document calls efficiently.
• Proficient with common computer applications and software used in support workflows.
• Strong organizational skills to multitask and manage multiple systems while assisting customers.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer calls for alarm system and home automation issues, providing technical assistance and customer education.
• Troubleshoot and guide customers through step-by-step workflows to resolve issues during the call.
• De-escalate situations with customers, maintaining a calm and empathetic approach.
• Document interactions and outcomes accurately in the CRM/system.
• Schedule onsite technician visits when needed, after presenting virtual/self-serve options.
• Maintain regular attendance and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers to deliver excellent service.”
• Work remotely with a private, quiet workspace meeting company standards and bandwidth requirements.
