Job summary

Nutrient is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Customer Success team. You will own onboarding, adoption, health, and risk across a portfolio, while collaborating with Sales to protect and grow accounts.

You’ll work hands-on with the Web SDK, Document Engine, and APIs, guiding developers and becoming the technical voice for customers. You’ll run technical discovery, craft prescriptive guidance, and deliver demos and POCs while staying deeply connected to product and engineering.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as technical CS, implementation/onboarding, solutions or sales engineering, or developer/technical support.
• Technical fluency: comfortable reading code samples, making REST API calls, following SDK quickstart guides, and working in a terminal or IDE.
• A consultative mindset: run real discovery and provide prescriptive guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; translate technical detail into business impact for developers and senior stakeholders.
• Bias toward action and strong follow-through to reduce churn and drive outcomes.
• Bonus: experience with document/content or developer-tooling SDKs; familiarity with common web stacks and integration patterns; exposure to working with Sales on expansion/renewals.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and time-to-value for each customer; set milestones and drive first successful integration.
• Own adoption and customer health; manage a portfolio using business and technical signals.
• Own risk and retention; identify risks early and design concrete mitigation plans.
• Partner with Sales on growth; surface expansion opportunities and collaborate to advance them.
• Be the customer's technical advisor; run technical discovery, guide integrations, and provide prescriptive guidance.
• Enable and advocate; deliver targeted demos, enablement sessions, and build developer champions within accounts.
