Job summary

ProAg, a unit of Tokio Marine HCC, seeks a Crop Insurance Adjuster to work remotely from Oklahoma. The role involves first contact with policyholders after losses, conducting field inspections, reading maps, and collecting production records, while assessing damages for MPCI and Crop Hail policies.

You’ll travel up to 75% within the territory, reporting to the Area Claims Supervisor, and provide guidance to claimants and agents as you conclude claims with accuracy and fairness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Crop insurance claims experience or ag-related background is preferred.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail needed.
• Good computer and internet skills expected.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively.
• CAPP certification or state licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fact-finding to determine cause and percentage of loss, applying independent judgment.
• Escalate issues to Area Claims Supervisor when unresolved.
• Explain regulations and procedures to claimants, agents and others involved.
• Communicate ProAg position on industry topics and coverage programs.
• Expand knowledge of MPCI, Crop Hail, and Federal Crop Insurance rules.
