Job summary

ProAg seeks an Area Claims Supervisor to lead and support Crop Insurance Adjusters across Ohio, ensuring timely and compliant claims handling while overseeing performance and training. The role requires travel and managing a remote, field-based team.

Responsibilities include assigning and reviewing claims, resolving escalations, and partnering with management to meet regulatory standards and business objectives. A strong emphasis on coaching and developing talent is evident throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Current CAPP certification.
• Minimum of three years of crop insurance experience in Claims or Compliance.
• Knowledge of adjusting practices, standards and procedures.
• Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, train, and evaluate Crop Insurance Adjusters across Ohio.
• Oversee claims handling for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Assign claims, review and approve work, assist with reserves and complex claims.
• Collaborate with Claims Management, Compliance, and Underwriting on objectives.
• Monitor LAE, staffing, and workload distribution; adjust as needed.
• Serve as point of contact for agent inquiries and issue resolution.
• Develop and deliver adjuster training and promote best practices.
