Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I or Crop Claims Specialist to operate from a home-based office in California, with approximately 50% travel within a 50-mile radius of Fresno, Tulare, Kern and Madera counties. The role is 40 hours per week.

Preferred candidates hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, must obtain CAPP within 180 days, and have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. This is a field-based position serving the agricultural community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ months of experience in agriculture
• CAPP certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire
• Reliable transportation and travel within territory
• Valid Driver’s License
• RCIS Crop Adjuster physical requirements for field work

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, read maps/photos, measure fields and bins, and discuss findings with farmers
• Explain complex regulations to claimants, agents and industry personnel
• Fact-finding on crop damage and transmitting loss information to determine indemnities
• Gather facts, apply applicable law, and establish negligence principles
• Complete claim reviews and audits for lower-level adjusters as assigned
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory and company policies
• Contribute to team goals and participate in projects
