Zurich North America is seeking an RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join the Rural Community Insurance Services team. The role is home-based in Virginia, requires 40 hours per week with up to 50% travel to cover the territory, and serves farmers and ranchers across the state.

As a Crop Adjuster, you will conduct field inspections, read maps and aerial photos, discuss findings with farmers, gather facts, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting the claims process with accuracy and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ months of agricultural experience.
• CAPP certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire date.
• Reliable transportation and travel within territory.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Physical requirements: walk fields, climb bins, lift 25–50 lbs, outdoor work.

Responsabilités

• Complete field inspections and related tasks with minimal supervision.
• Explain regulations to claimants, agents, and industry peers.
• Gather facts and transmit loss information to estimate indemnities.
• Conduct fact finding on crop damage and negligence basics.
• Review and audit lower-level adjusters' claims as assigned.
• Maintain regulatory and policy compliance.
• Contribute to team efforts and projects as needed.
