Job summary

Zurich is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to operate from a home-based office in Wisconsin, covering a 100-mile radius of Marinette, Oconto or Shawano counties. The role involves field inspections, measuring fields and bins, and discussing losses with farmers.

Travel is approximately 50% and requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a CAPP certification within 180 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ months of experience in the agricultural area
• CAPP Certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire
• Reliable transportation and travel within territory
• Valid Driver’s License
• Field adjuster physical requirements: walk in fields up to 3 miles, climb bins up to 25 feet, lift 25–50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and related tasks with minimal supervision
• Read maps and aerial photos, measure fields and storage bins
• Discuss crop loss findings with farmers on complex claims
• Convey complex regulations to claimants, agents, and industry personnel
• Perform fact finding on crop damage and transmit loss information
• Gather facts and apply negligence principles
• Complete reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters
• Ensure regulatory compliance and company policies
• Contribute to team projects as needed
