Qualifications

• Licensed behavioral health professional in Iowa.
• Law enforcement officer with at least two years of experience in the field.
• EMT with at least two years of experience in the EMT field.
• Peer support specialist with standardized training within six months of hire.
• Registered or licensed practical nurse with at least one year of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services-related field, an associate’s degree, or a high school diploma with two years of behavioral health experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment for referrals.
• Conduct crisis-focused assessments within 24 hours of crisis call.
• Develop and implement an intervention plan with client and referrals.
• Maintain relationships with community resources and provide referrals.
• Handle complex cases.
• Be on-call, Monday through Friday; respond to crisis calls during day hours.
• Maintain clinical records and timely reports.
• Collaborate with program staff and volunteers.
• Adhere to agency procedures and participate in training.
• Develop personal and program-related self-care plans.
• Support fundraising and community outreach when possible.
• Essential functions performed remotely from home on the HFS remote worksite.
