The Trevor Project is a leading crisis intervention nonprofit dedicated to LGBTQ+ youth. This Crisis Worker role focuses on providing empathetic, confidential support via TrevorText, TrevorChat, Lifeline, and 988 services, both asynchronously and by phone.

You will also handle essential administrative duties to ensure continuous, high-quality crisis response. You will join a mission-driven team, working remotely across the continental U.S., Alaska, or Hawaii, with a strong emphasis on belonging

Formación

• Experience in crisis care, contact center, or customer care.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English with strong communication and active listening.
• Demonstrated commitment to self-care and well-being for crisis workers.
• Understanding LGBTQ+ issues and youth challenges.

Responsabilidades

• Provide suicide prevention and crisis intervention counseling via text, chat, and phone.
• Meet performance measures for handle time and utilization.
• Follow shift protocols and work with a team of counselors.
• Build trust and create a safe space for youth to discuss sexuality and identity.
