Job summary

Bertelsmann Global Business Services is seeking a Credit & Collections Associate for a remote role in the Westminster, MD area. You will manage customer accounts, evaluate creditworthiness, monitor balances, and ensure timely payments while coordinating with internal teams to minimize risk.

Responsibilities include reviewing credit-held orders, responding to inquiries, adjusting debits/credits, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; experience in collections or AR preferred.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and process credit-held orders for timely resolution.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email.
• Investigate claims and adjust debits/credits.
• Maintain accurate account records and payment history.
• Negotiate payment arrangements within guidelines.
• Analyze accounts to assess risk and support decisions.
• Collaborate with teams to reduce credit risk.
• Escalate complex issues to management.
