The role requires CPC certification, two years coding experience, and knowledge of medical terminology; familiarity with EHRs is preferred. On-site testing in Marlton, NJ precedes interviews and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Two years records coding experience or equivalent education.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment.
• Experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology/ Medical terminology required.
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Certified required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and assign CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes from medical records and documents to support physicians’ professional fees.
• Abstract billing for outpatient E/M codes, minor procedures, and HCPCS codes including modifiers.
• Research coding/billing issues for physicians and identify best coding methods.
• Analyze medical records to determine coding accuracy and potential abuse; coordinate with Coding/Charge/Audit Analysts.
