Job summary

Border States is seeking a Cost Analyst to support cost management strategies across our open market business. The role focuses on cost competitiveness, SPA rationalization, and tiered SPA implementation to identify opportunities for cost savings and profit improvement.

The analyst will analyze cost structures, engage stakeholders, and negotiate pricing with vendors while ensuring market relevance in pricing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
No minimum years of prior experience required; relevant experience in procurement, sales, pricing, costing, supply chain, or distribution is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the SAP materials management system and previous forecasting experience is preferred.
APICS certification or proven knowledge of MRP and supply-chain knowledge preferred.
Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office and SAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

Review cost competitiveness by product category and region to ensure market relevance.
Engage branch/regional personnel and stakeholders during category evaluations.
Evaluate market conditions, vendor alignment, and strategies.
Analyze cost structures and SPA programs to identify savings opportunities.
Coordinate with vendors to negotiate pricing based on analysis findings.
Present cost analyses and recommendations to stakeholders and implement agreed results.
