Job summary

Border States is seeking a Cost Analyst to support cost management across open market product categories and vendors. Focus on cost analysis, SPA rationalization, and tiered SPA strategies to identify savings and improve profitability.

This remote-friendly role offers a pay range of $64,300 to $80,000 with compensation based on skills and experience. The analyst will collaborate with branches and vendors, analyze market data, and present recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• No minimum years of prior experience required; relevant experience in procurement, sales, marketing, pricing, costing, supply chain, or distribution is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the SAP materials management system and previous forecasting experience is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), internet, email, and SAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews key product categories/vendors by branch, area or region to determine cost competitiveness and market relevance.
• Engages branch/regional personnel and key stakeholders during category evaluations.
• Evaluates current market conditions, vendor/category alignment, and strategies.
• Works to understand current cost structures (SPAs, regional vs branch, backside vendor programs).
• Analyzes market data and presents findings to stakeholders with recommendations.
