Job summary

Limiting Factor Group, a Menlo Park-based AI infrastructure company, seeks a Cost Accounting Analyst to establish financial visibility, cost accuracy, and disciplined accounting processes across growing operations. You’ll join a foundational accounting team and work with executive leadership to support rapid scaling.

The role focuses on CIP accounting, accruals, journal entries, and cost analysis for multi-site projects with potential for equity incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with project cost accounting or CIP.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, accrual accounting, cost allocations and capitalization principles.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting workflows.
• Ability to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyze variances.
• Ability to work independently across multiple projects; detail-oriented.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Record and manage CIP accounting and determine capitalization vs expense under US GAAP.
• Prepare and record accruals for completed but uninvoiced construction work with Construction and Procurement teams.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for project and operating costs.
• Track and analyze project expenditures by site, project, and cost code.
• Analyze operating costs (power, maintenance, labor) and explain variances.
• Collaborate with Construction, Procurement, and Finance leadership to improve cost visibility.
• Prepare supporting documentation and respond to audit requests for project costs and capitalization.
