Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Corporate Controller on behalf of an established company in the consumer fitness and technology industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader to oversee financial operations, lead a geographically dispersed team, and drive process improvements within a dynamic, multi-location organization.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking a seasoned Corporate Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and a team of approximately 10–12 accounting professionals. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, advanced NetSuite experience, and a proven ability to lead remote teams while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

This role is ideal for an operationally focused Controller who enjoys being hands-on with accounting functions, developing teams, and improving processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Manage multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure accurate financial records, GAAP compliance, and effective internal controls.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed accounting team of approximately 10–12 professionals.
• Establish clear expectations, streamline workflows, and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Support ERP migrations, data conversions, and accounting system enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation, technology, and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Extensive accounting experience, including prior experience as a Corporate Controller or comparable accounting leader.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls.
• Advanced NetSuite experience, including multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
• ERP migration or data conversion experience required.
• Proven success managing and developing accounting teams, ideally with 10 or more employees.
• Experience leading remote or geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and process improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, or subscription-based businesses.
• Familiarity with inventory accounting, subscription revenue, and multichannel sales.
• Experience managing domestic and international accounting operations.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled tools and accounting automation with appropriate internal controls.

COMPENSATION & LOCATION

This position offers a competitive salary of $170,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

The position is remote within the United States, with a preference for candidates in South Florida. Local candidates may attend occasional in-person meetings, approximately once per month.
