Job summary

Sphere Pay is seeking a full-time Core Engineer to work remotely on the central systems that power user accounts, transactions, and API-based services. You will help design scalable, observable services and help ensure onboarding, accounts, and payments are reliable at scale.

You will collaborate with sales to capture requirements, document features, and implement solutions; you will integrate external services for KYC/AML, FX, and banking aggregators, and expose core functionalities to end

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience taking products to production and maintaining them
• Experience with payments, crypto/web3, fintech is a plus
• Proficiency in web technologies and TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and related stacks
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core systems supporting user accounts and APIs
• Collaborate with sales to document requirements and prioritize work
• Integrate external services including KYC/AML, FX APIs, and banking aggregates
• Expose core functionalities via APIs across domains like web3 and banking
• Investigate, fix, and prevent production issues to ensure uptime
• Create and maintain technical documentation and vendor integration notes
• Maintain test environments and write unit/integration tests
