Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to lead scientific exchange with national and regional scientific leaders. The role requires a doctoral degree and at least 3 years in COPD/respiratory areas, with strong communication and ethics expertise.

You will drive scientific discussions and support company research strategies. You will collaborate with GCSA and GCTO, support investigator-sponsored studies, and travel up to 50% in the Northeast

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years in COPD/Respiratory beyond degree.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
• Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA regulations relevant to pharma industry.

Responsibilities

• Engage in bidirectional scientific information with national and regional SLs.
• Address scientific questions and coordinate external inquiries.
• Develop and maintain relationships with SLs; participate in scientific exchange.
• Support research discussions with Global Center for Scientific Affairs and external investigators.
• Recommend sites and support investigator-initiated studies; participate in SIVs and protocol discussions.
